Because we were going to be sleeping at little campsites, our tour guide Haley (who was amazing) told us that we had to find our own firewood. So we pulled over in yet again the middle of nowhere, and she set us free to roam around the outback looking for any large pieces of wood. I found some faulty logic in this: letting stupid foreign backpackers rummage around in the bush grabbing at whatever they wanted, whether it be wood or snakes or what have you. I did not find any snakes (fortunately) and neither did the other backpackers (unfortunately).
