Last night I was at a party in midtown (for those who don't know, NY is a city very much balkanized by neighborhood) and was asked (again) with concern how things were faring downtown. This afternoon was the first warm sunny weekend day. So, I went outside with my camera to show how things are faring here in the province of lower Manhattan.

BTW, this should not be mistaken for insouciance. We're certainly aware of the risks, but the danger shouldn't and doesn't stop one from enjoying life.
