Japan- Kamakura

DAY 1 .I traveled from Ueno in Tokyo to Kamakura. Kamakura is just 1-hour rail journey from Tokyo. It was once the seat of a feudal government set up in 1192 as the first of its kind in Japan. It is now noted for it seaside bathing beach too. Enoshima Island nearby at Kamakura, a nice little island with lot of seafood.

As always, wonderful set of pics! So, rickshaws originated in Japan & not China, huh? That's good info! The lanterns of the Far East (Japan, China, Korea, & etc.) are so pretty, one of the best things to photograph in the region. 'Ya know sometimes, it's good not being recognized as a tourist but your caption on that pic was really funny [ha, ha!] Looks like you really had a good hotel, I envy you! Wish I can afford such a hotel when I travel but always on a budget. Truly enjoyed your photos but the "zoom" one is awesome! BEST WISHES!!!
