In November of 2002, my husband and I went on a medical missions trip with a friend that owns a medical clinic in 2 villages in Haiti. We went with a team of nurses, and a medical doctor to provide help to those who were without medicine. We were able to help many people who walked up to 12 hours to find us. Each evening we had church services, and were able to visit with the people. We enjoyed being able to help with many things, such as medical relief, providing food for families and children, provide school supplies, and help the locals with rebuilding the concrete floor in their church. This is my second missions trip so far, and I am thrilled to be going to Ukraine in June. I like to recall all the things I have learned while on these trips. One of the biggest things I have learned in Haiti is the sencerity of the people. They get so excited to see that white people have come to offer a little help. We plan to visit again, and again, and establish relationships. Dr. John Gentri, and his wife founded this arganization called "Global Medical" he works very hard to see the medical, and spiritual needs of the people in Haiti met. If you would love to invest financially into these trips please notify me. Anything would help.
