Sedim River is situated in the Gunung Inas Forest Reserve. A rough river, Sedim River had been listed as a white rafting destination. But alas, the river is sometimes too shallow to enjoy a proper rafting- pushing the raft rather than paddling it! It is also the starting point to hike Mt Inas, Mt Bintang Utara, Mt Bintang and the Bintang Range. You can see the Bintang Range from Penang Hill. There is not much wildlife in this forest reserve as poachers have been active in supplying wildlife to a park in Penang. A tree-top walkway was built but before it could be opened to the public in May 2005, a fallen tree had damaged it an act of God(so they say).
