Moffat Ram
I wondered if you knew the the ram has no ears ,the story goes that the person who sculpted him realized after he was in place and commited suicide.

Robert Burns
I was born in Dumfries and loved to see it again through your beautiful photos. The heading you have under Robert Burns statue says Bobbie Burns.....it should be Rabbie or Robbie if not Robert. Loved everything else though!

Photos on line for all to view; great!
What a wonderful trip you had and great photos; thanks for sharing them. I spent a couple of visits ton Canonbie, Langholm, Locherbie, and all of the SE area of Dumfriesshire coming down from Glasgow and going up to Edinburg from Canonbie which is not far from your origins, eh? So, they bring back memories, your photos. Don Beattie in Maine USA from the Dumfriesshire Beatties back in 1790 and before who came to Kouchibouguac, NB, Canada in 1829. DWB

Thanks for sharing your photos. Its 15 years since I visited D&G, and have no photos as all our belongings were stolen/lost in transit from Australia to NZ. Neat to see the scenery again
