Four of us travel in a car from Lunas, Kedah to Jelawang on 20th May morning at 7a.m. We reached the destination, i.e Pak Yup Restaurant at Jelawang at 1p.m. The weather was good.
We started our journey to Baha Camp at 4p.m. It's a steep and tough journey with a load of about 10kg.
Next morning, we trek to Y Camp. However, half way, it started to rain heavily and made the journey tougher. At 1:30p.m. we continued our trek to Gunung Stong. It was rather steep and long trail. I reached there at 3:20p.m. It rain again when we were on our way to there we all get very wet when return to the Y Camp.
The following morning, we changed our plan and trek back to Baha Camp. Instead of going to Gunung Ayam. We trek to the Waterfalls till Waterfalls No5.
Gunung Stong, Dabong Forest Reserve, Kelantan, well known for its flora such as orchids, palm species and fauna, besides, Gunung Stong , a dome-shaped granite complex more than 500 million years old, is also reputed for its seven-tiered Stong Waterfalls, presumably to be the highest in Southeast Asia, drops from a height of about 305 metres.
On the way back, we visited Gua Ikan.
It's a wonderful experience and am impressed with the variety of fauna and flora seen there.
