After the Ceremonies, Miles of Coaches
Sightseeing in Aegean Sea coast picture - Following the individual services at Lone Pine for the Australians, Chunuk Bair for the New Zealanders, and at the Turkish memorial (centre of picture) an endless line of tour coaches slowly proceeded from the top of the distant ridge down the single road to collect their passengers. This must have taken over four hours at the end of a long 24 hours. There were over 700 coaches at Gallipoli on Anzac Day, carrying people for all over the world. The winding path can be seen back up the hill and to the right along the ridge line.
