Kathmandu, 1999

Second part of digitally improved pictures from my trip to Kathmandu in 1999. Hope you enjoy these as well as the other selection. Looking at them now, I can see lots of shortcomings in them, but I tried to improve them on the computer. Still, I would like to go back one day to this wonderful city.

That "old guy sitting in the street" is such a cool pic (as well as the rest of your pics here). I bet these photos looks great even if not digitally improved 'coz you're one good photographer evidenced by your other previous articles. I heard Nepal is really cheap, will go there next spring before it gets expensive, he, he, he. Also like the band pic, such cool head-wears!

Brings back memories! I was there in Oct. of '99. We didn't get to spend as much time in Kathmandu as we would have liked to. Fascinating place.

the chained monkey
can't remember exactly the meaning - but I have it recorded on my video camera. It is the eqivalent of the 3 monkeys: I shall not hear, I shall not see, I shall not speak. Tell you more after I'll have seen my video recording. M
