The Colegio Mayor is a great place to hang out and rub elbows with the local Spanish students. Once inside the massive doors, hang a right and go down the winding stairs where they will lead you to a small underground café. Take a friend or your intercambio for a cup of coffee and soak up the atmosphere. The domed building in the background is the Church of San Sebastian. In its prime, it was used as the chapel of the Saint Bartolomé’s College. It was reformed in the 18th Century by Alberto Churriguera. In its interior, its cross-vault is centered by a dome on top of an octagonal base; its vault-niche is situated over the gate, where the statue of San Sebastian is housed.
