Aini Girl, Aini Village<br> Tajikistan picture - This beautiful girl lives in extremely modest coniditons in a small village near Aini, inwestern Tajikistan. In this village, electricity is a luxury amd hot water comes from a heated pot. During the summer months her only companions are the other women folk ov the village; all men of working age leave the village to find work in Dushanbe or Russia. In Tajikistan unemployment and poverty are extremely high. Despite the isolation of this village and the absence of strong outside influence (no electricity or television signals), this girl (and others) knew very well how to strike a pose for the camera!
