Sightseeing in Finmark picture - There has been found signs of life at the coast of Troms that dates 10.000 years back, from The Stone Age. The county of Finnmark has an interesting and dramatic history, strongly characterised by its proximity to the countries that border on it. Finnish language and culture are still alive after extensive immigration from Finland in the 1800s, and coastal Finnmark has a long tradition in trade with the East - the so-called Pomor Trade.
