I'm writing this article to share with you the wonderful experience that I go through every time I dive in the Red Sea. Some folks have concerns regarding diving, some are phobic underwater and others are afraid of what they may see. However, I believe that you should not judge diving without experiencing it.
I personally had several fears of diving I always wondered how it will be and how it will feel like; I started asking my self few questions: Could I be wrong about it? Should I leave my worries and concerns aside and figure out why people enjoy diving so much? Should I invest time and money in such a sport just to figure out why? Anyways later on after experiencing diving I discovered that I have a passion for being underwater; and the worries I had changed to a consistent passion that drives me underwater every time I go wondering in the underwater world.
Diving underwater is such an amazing sport. Actually I would not call it a sport only! It truly is more than just a sport its meditation for your body, mind, spirit and soul you can pretty much think of it as an active method to recharge your batteries . I personally like to go diving and to get away from the daily routine life I have, the crowded city and pollution, my personal troubles and other things that Im sure everyone of us has a long list of. All you need to do is to temporary shut down your routine life; get your self out of the city for a few days; and go enjoy a safari or a diving trip, enjoy the amazing nature, and see Gods greatest amazing scenes. Whether it is underwater or above water, enjoy the sunrise, the sunset, the landscapes and mountains you see every time you step on this earth. Just go and watch this amazing world, let your feelings and inspirations guide you, free yourself from whatever barriers you had through your life and get out that little child inside each one of us, break the silence within you and enjoy Gods most amazing places on earth! . Explore! Explore everything around you and feed your eyes, mind and spirit with this amazing nature that God created.
I am not sure how to better explain the adrenaline rush and also withdrwal you get diving. seriously if you experience yourself underwater things might be a bit clear and you may understand how divers feel. Diving is a sport that has something for everyone, some divers prefer cavern diving, others prefer wreck diving, others preferring hunting or technical dives, ice diving! and some people (like me) like to watch the tiny creatures that you can hardly find.
The silence you feel once youre under the surface and all you can hear is your breath, no one can speak to you of whatsoever, watching an amazing portrait of corals and marine life is simply breath taking and amazing!!! I personally have this overwhelmed feeling marked on my face and a consistent word that I always say every time I get my self outside the sea and realize how big this planet is. sob7an allah!!
At some point of my diving experience I realized that all I ever knew about the marine life is quite minute and small and I understood that i'm still ignorant to lots of issues, whatever level I reach is still so tiny cause every time there is something new to learn and see. Seeing a new animal that you have never seen before searching for others that you read about in a book or saw a picture of a new adventure awaits!
Its totally a different world underwater! Once you're in that new world you will just get a glimpse at how big and amazing this world is. I wish I can advice everyone I know to experience diving and show them its beauty.
And it wont only stop at seeing corals, reefs, and marine life. However, you will find your self developing new friends all around the world from different backgrounds and cultures. You will find yourself in a diversified world of divers and friends sharing with you more or less the same interest. I believe that diving really gets out the best in people.
For those who can't dive for any reasons or still have fears towards it, you can still start by the smaller side of the story and go snorkeling for example (unless you have health problems) just try it first and then judge afterwards. It all started with me snorkeling at Ras Mohamed and then everything clicked from there! Its also not that hard to hook your self up with a diving course once you have decided and made up your mind. Its not hard as it may seem to be in the beginning, its only a mater of days!
Hope you guys enjoy the pictures we had in our last trip at Marsa Alam and looking forward to meet you underwater!
