1910 Curtiss Pusher
Attractions & Amusements in Alberta picture - The first airplane to fly in Alberta. The Curtiss Aeroplane Company, with factories in California and New York, formed the "Curtiss Exhibition Team" in 1910. This team of pilots and mechanics flew Curtiss Pusher demonstrations throughout the United States and Canada. Hugh Robinson, one of the Curtiss Pusher pilots, flew the Pusher at Edmonton Exhibition Grounds on April 28, 1911. It was the first flight of a powered airplane in Alberta. The Reynolds Aviation Museum built this reproduction based on original drawings. Curtiss parts which were owned by the museum were incorporated into the replica.
