Snow Flyer Conversion Kit circa 1929
Attractions & Amusements in Alberta picture - The owners fo early cars found it hard going on snowy, icy roads. Several manufacturers made kits that turned ordinary cars into vehicles better equipped for winter travel. The Snow Flyer kit contained a pair of skes, an axle, and two all-steel traction belts. The skis replace the vehicle's front wheels. These wheels were installed on thekit's axle, which was them mounted in front of the car's rear wheels. The traction belts fitted around both sets of wheels. Manufactured by Snow Fllyer Corporation, New Holstein, Wisconsin. Distributed by Dominion Motor Co. Ltd., Winnepeg, Manitoba.
