Founded in the middle of the 12th Century by Fernando II, it was authorized by him on July 17, 1165. The church has three naves, a transept, and three apses. Construction ended in the 14th Century; the cloister was finished in the 16th Century. Outstanding inside the cathedral is the altar in alabaster by Luis Mitata and several tombs of great artistic value. </div></nolayer></noembed>
