Me and my friend Diana Diehl Sightseeing in Spain picture - Diana and I were sitting on a wall near the parador overlooking the River Águeda in Ciudad Rodrigo. The walls were built during the reign of Fernando II under the direction of the Galician architect Juan de Cabrera. In the shape of an irregular oval, the wall stretches for some 2250 meters with strong battlements some 13 meters high with turrets alongside.
