Wadi Rum is different from Thar Desert in India because the colour of the sand is orange in colour. It kind of gives you the illusion that this place is VERY hot. Contrary to that, it is actually VERY windy in Wadi Rum and it can get quite cool too, even under the afternoon sun. BUT the sand at this sand dune is indeed BAKING! If you wanna try walking on fire, take off your shoes and walk up the sand dune!
