Masses of visitors throng Hanoi's Temple of Literature at Tet, the Chinese New Year. Using a telephoto zoom lens, I photographed this crowd walking past a colorful banner. The long lens makes those in the foreground sharper than those in the background, simplifying an otherwise complex image. To me, these faces offer a mosaic of Vietnam.
