Beautiful shots!!
I am originally from Holland and now living in Great Britain. It was only today that I looked at your website although I probably read your posts many a time on the Panasonic forum. I used to live just outside Leiden in a place called Oegsgeest. You really caught the essence of what Holland is all about and you pictures are simply amazing. I am very familiar with all the towns you visited in Holland (and Belgium for that matter) and although you seem to haved missed a few opportunities for some more great images, you caught all the essential ones.

As said, I now live in Great Britain and although towns and cities are probably just as photogenic as they are in Holland, I never had the urge to shoot this kind of subject in the U.K. whereas I would have done in Holland. Over here I tend to shoot more landscape and macro than anything else.

Anyways, I am glad I came across your website as your pictures are truly inspiring.

Few decisive brushstrokes
Phil, you are no doubt a specialist of the reconstruction of a city atmosphere with few seemingly small brushstrokes. I love all your water reflections, the sea horse cafe sign,the water screw pumping station, the abstract Brabo fountain and of course the final Amsterdam image.

A twilight walk !
You have packed a powerful PUNCH in the underrated travel destination in Europe. While I was suspended in the medieval era I found familiar facades of modern time too.
