Let's all be honest here: Food is a beautiful thing. All over Europe I had completely fallen in love with jostling fruit markets and sweet smelling fruit trees.

Also, sitting down with friends to enjoy a good meal is irreplaceable. After working on a vineyard in Tuscany, I learned how much work, effort and love can go into food - by people, the land itself, the energy of the sun, rain from the skies and other things in nature involved in this cooperative act of producing food. It can be a lot of work - but it is worth every crumb, piece and drop.
