On 2th July 2005, 16 of us in a group and traveled by 4 cars all the way from Penang heading to Cameron Highland. We camp for a night at Brinchang camp site which is accessible by car.

Our Route: Penang-Butterworth-Ipoh-Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands

On the next day, we hiked and explored Gunung Irau at 0730. It took us approximately 7 hours for to and flow trip.

Height: 6924ft or 1812m (9th highest in peninsular Malaysia) Location: Cameron Highland. Pahang. Summit Temperature:5 - 15 degree celcius

At around Gunung Irau is the highest peak in the Cameron Highlands. It's known for its mossy forest. Its truly a fairy land to get away from reality...
