I went to the East African country of Tanzania (TZ) in June 2003 to visit my friend from college, Jared Ellerbrock. He is a US Peace Corps volunteer in the central part of the country, in a village called Ihanja, which is near Singida. He has been there for almost two years teaching math and physics in a high school, and enjoys it greatly.
