Having been born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania, I have been familiar with Pittsburgh my whole life. As a kid, I remember school field trips to the Carnegie Museum, Buhl Planetarium and the Pittsburgh Zoo. Riding all the rollercoasters at nearby Kennywood Park was always a thrilling day for us. Sunbathing and swimming at the South Park Wave Pool was something else we always enjoyed.
