<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Downtown and One Mellon Center<br> Buildings in Pittsburgh--downtown picture - Built in 1983, One Mellon Center is the second tallest skyscraper in Pittsburgh and, at 725 feet with 54 stories, is the 195th tallest skyscraper in the world. It contains the headquarters of Mellon Financial Corporation. It stands next to the U.S. Steel Tower on Grant Street, and dwarfs the Allegheny County Courthouse on its other side. Ironically, at one time the courthouse was the tallest building in the city. The city&#39;s subway system, or &#34;T&#34;, has a stop at Steel Plaza, located underneath the building with tunnels connecting it to both Mellon Center and U.S. Steel Tower. One Mellon Center is the heart of the four building Mellon Bank Headquarters complex here in Pittsburgh. Included is Three Mellon Center, a 41 story skyscraper adjacent to Mellon Square. The typical floor size is 21,500 square feet with eight corner offices. The 500 Grant Street location is most central to courts, government offices, retail shopping and to other major office towers. </div></nolayer></noembed>
