Visited my dear friend Simone in her lovely university town by Lake Konstanz, a great summer place, where everyone is enjoying the turquoise lake, and all along the shore, you can see people swimming about. The little town itself is very charming, with little shops, restaurants and cafe's, and so many old, colourful buildings were left intact since Konstanz is so close to Switzerland that was neutral during the war. Thus, all over the city, on many buildings, you can see all these old dates, some going back as far as the 1100's.

There is also great biking there, as all around the lake there is a 270km path, that goes through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In addition, there are many easy day trips across the lake with the ferry to see the other small, but just as nice, towns on the lake.

At night, all the bars are lit up and people are strolling along the lake. A really wonderful place to just enjoy summer and lounge, and admire the nice views of the lake, with the alps in the background...

Simone: Grazie mille per mi ha fato vedere la tua bellisima citta. Veramente, sei fortunata vivere li. Grazie per dividere con me la bellezza di lago di Constance. tanti baci.
