Pantai Acheh Forest Reserve was declared the Penang National Park on 4th April 2003 by our Acting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. The Penang National Park comprises 1181 ha of forest and 1381 ha of wetlands. Located at the north-western corner of Penang Island, Malaysia, it is the most remote part of the state. Penang National Park is all lush green and the fragrance of the sea breeze is enchanting. Its ecosystem consists mainly of tropical lowland forest with coastal features. A group of my frend is planning for the Pantai Kerachut Trial. Would be appreciated if you could tell us how and where to register to get permission to enter the Pantai Kerachut National Park. Thank you.

Teluk Kampit
I have been to teluk kampi (or kampit) once when i was a kid (long time ago). We had to go by sea since to trek is almost impossible then. I remember taking the fishing boat from Balik Pulau area. It is a remote beautiful small stretch of short beach with lots of sea urchins. There's a small crystal clear freshwater stream that u can just drink straight from. Good for camping but not for swimming (sea urchins remember?) No man made buildings what-so-ever. Strictly for the adventurous.

Astounding Nature
I went to the park last weekend. It was truly astounding. I was only over for business for a short time. I am going to come back for longer to fully appreciate this unique paradise.

SG TUKUN - A quite relax place to have a camp in the chalet but unfortunately the beach is to tide n small

TANJUNG ALING - not a suitable place to camp because there sort of tree n water supply

TELUK DUYUNG - a quite familiar camping site for us.The facilities not bad just the beach quite dirty on some season

TELUK KETAPANG - never been there before(anyone can share the experience at there?)..eg:the environment, water supply , toilet

PANTAI KERACHUT - not a very good place for camping because the sand too hot at afternoon & the sea too much of JELLYFISH..but its a very nice place to watch sunset...

Condition at Monkey Beach and What's New
I am planning a trip to Monkey Beach and would like to know the condition there and what's new being done.

Me and my friends camped at pantai kerachut last week. To my surprise, it was full of people. Also it was raining season. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed ourselves there swimmming and fishing. The beach is nice but not so suitable for swimming ( prefer teluk duyung). The hill trail is awesome!! the meromictic lake is mesmerizing!!!

i came back from penang national park last nite.my group camped at pantai kerachut.beautiful beach with quartz-like sands.visitors should check out the meromictic lake.i was fortunate 2 witness a penyu agar coming up 2 lay eggs n also the release of young turtles 2 the sea on saturday nite.2 all nature lovers,check out this place!
