Located West of Morocco and surrounded by equally beautiful islands, Gran Canaria is the largest of the Canary Islands. The majority of hotels are situated on the hills [the island is therefore not suitable for those who detest hillwalking!], and the only way to them is by taxi [for 1+ euro] or to walk along the windy roads. There is only one main road and passengers should be ready for an interesting trip......safety is not a prior concern!
