The Apache Trail
East of Phoenix, 'in the shadow of the Superstition Mountains' the Apache Trail "combines the grandeur of the Alps, the glory of the Rockies and the magnificence of the Grand Canyon" - these are the words of President Theodore Roosevelt. Following routes 88 and 60 this trail takes you to breathtaking views and everywhere the majestic sanguaro cacti can be seen.
