Fine pictures, few errors
Jan took some very nice pictures indeed and I con- gratulate him on such. Not to put his "works" down I can only state that with such splendor of snowcapped mountain taking great pictures is not very difficult. The red train shown as the train to Grindelwald is, in fact, the Schynige Platte Bahn which never hits Grindelwald. The three prominent mountains Eiger/Moench/Jungfrau can easily be confused, as in the picture seen from the Schilthorn taken with part of the revolving restaurant and the Swiss white cross national flag. That mountain is the Eiger rather than the Jungfrau ... compare with the "is my best picture?" photo. I just/again spent a few days in the area in Sep. 04, staying at the LUNA Motel in Wilderswil and viewed the wonderful mountains. Hard to beat! Thanks, Jan, for your reminder photographs.

The pictures are breathtaking. My grandfather was a prisoner of war in ww1 and was repatriated to Murren Switzerland. We have a few picture postcards of the area but now we know what the area really looks like. I feel he would have had a good chance to recover from the devestation of the war in such a beautiful natural setting with such vivid colours and good mountain air. In fact I have a postcard that is almost identical to your picture of Thun Lake - Spiez and this would have been around 1917.

Thank you for making his experience a little more understandable with your fantasic photography.
