Some 410 kilometers to the east of Tehran, the capital of Iran, and at the junction with the Gorgan road, this halting-place is situated along the ancient Silk Road.

Jangal-e Abr [Jungle of Clouds] has constant mist all around the year and the interesting fact is that it's located within close range (less than 20 kilometers) from the main desert land of Iran which has recorded temperatures up to 60 deg C.
