You've really captured the spirit of the place and since I've been away from Ottawa for a few years it brought back many pleasant memories. Byward Beauty
I would say that the Byward Market is one of my all-time favourite places to go in Ottawa, you got some really great shots of it and its beauty/originality. I especially liked the picture of the tin facade on the house, I will keep my eyes open for that next time I'm in the market; you don't see everything that's there sometimes, there's so much!

One more thought (I mean these to be helpful), when framed, almost all photos are separated from the frame by a matte. This solid border area isolates and enhances the work. Having the photo come all the way out to the frame does not seem to wrok well. By the way, I have seen and enjoyed your previous posting as well as this one. Look forward to more.

I enjoyed the photos very much. I have been to this market and always like seeing good photos of places I have been. I may return this November. Unlike the other commentator, I believe the "frames" REALLY distract from the fine photography. They are NOT frames on would use for these fine photos and look as fake and gimmicky as they are. They are NOT an enhancment of you good work. If they were real, they would be too heavy and busy for the work. In addition, the beige color does nothing. A simple black outline or shadow box effect will be much better. Trust me, I am an artist.

Fred - wonderful pics as usual. However, when your taking the BIG pic consider scaling down to the small PIC eg from showing the BeaverTail store to showing an actual BeaverTail on the grill. Then I can send the pics to my German friends without having to explain what a Beavertail is. How's that for constructive observations; albeit self-serving. Keep them coming. Where did you buy those magnificent frames? :-)
