I had a fantastic time here. Catania as a city didn't really excite me too much - it was nice, but not as special as a lot of other places I've been. But it did act as a great base to go to Mt Etna, Siracusa and Taormina.

I met some fantastic people and had an absolute ball. The hostel I stayed at was the best I've been to (the Agora Hostel - there you go, free plug), very social, a great outdoor bar/restaurant/breakfast area, and a 5 hour happy hour every night! Needless to say nobody really got much sleep, and I wish I'd been able to stay longer than the 4 nights I had there.
