The resort has undergone extensive renovation recently. Perhaps that coincides with the Pan Pacific chain cease to be the hotel management company.

The resort area itself is extensive - from the security guard to the lobby can take about 10 minutes walk. Not to mention the a few mile long beach fronting the resort, as well as the golf course.

The Pacific Wing is a 4-storey hotel block overlooking the beach and has its own smaller swimming pool. The Ocean Wing is more luxury of these two wings, having their own balconies, open green area by the beach, and substantially larger swimming pool.

I stayed at the Ocean Wing room and paid about RM315 per night. The room was decent but not sure if it justifies the price. Occasionally Pangkor Island Beach Resort does come up with special offers for the public, especially during the low season.
