Thx for ur comment. The chee cheong chok that I like most is at Cintra St, outside a coffee shop on the left of the road near the junction out to Chulia St. It opens only fr Mon - Fri, 2pm to around 5pm. Another one at New Lane also not bad.

Thanks for your comment. Lamian is not a local delicacy and also not that common in Penang. You may only find it common in places like Xinjiang, Qinghai & Gansu (esp Lanzhou) of China.

Yummy Delicacy
I was praying hard that I can see "La Mian" as one of your displayed food in the list but I was quite disappointed. I'm not a local and I tried to ask everyone whom I know for this "La Mian" but none of them know it. Please help! Thanks :)Btw, you have done a great job on compiling the foods list.

Well done Yue Li The assorted kueh can be broken down into numerous very distinct items such as Gao deng kueh, the one with a few layers with different colours, Huat Kueh, Ang Ku, etc, etc. My saliva flows just looking at these photos!!! Every time I go back to Penang, I must eat Hokkien mee everyday once, before eating other thing, especially kueh tiao teng. Thanks for keeping my desire to go back to Penang alive.
