Jim Davy had a great idea. We'd pack up, drive down to the harbor, and have a summer afternoon picnic.
Jim and Phyllis went an hour ahead, found a good spot with a table and a barbecue set-up, and we joined them later. Jim even did the cooking. It promised to be a great afternoon.
But then ...

The harbor at Dana Point ... what a nice setting for an August picnic !

But there seems to be some trouble with this here barbecue.

Maybe if I raise it up a little bit ...

I don't think you're close enough to the coals ...

Even from down here, I can see something's wrong !

I knew I should have brought my reading glasses ...

Thank God somebody brought something else to eat ...

Sorry to tell you, Jim, but the hotdogs are cold...

Isn't there a Denny's near here?

Maybe I'll have another brew-ski...

Shouldn't hot dogs be hot?

Did somebody mention a Denny's?

Something's going on down there. What's the excitement all about?

All the boats are coming back. Didn't we get here before the race even...

We'd better call the Coast Guard. There seems to be a real problem over...

Hey, Jim, the Sprite is getting warmer than the hotdogs!

Jim seems to have a problem, Phyllis. Maybe you could help?

I think they're right, Phyllis. Maybe you should talk to him.

Phyllis, please ! Talk to him !

Okay, okay. I'll go talk to Jim.

Dammit, Jim, just drop the grill closer to the heat !

Maybe we should call 911. I'll go look for a telephone...

I'll try this one, but the bun's kinda cold.

Maybe we can use all this for bait?

Stay put, folks. We'll race over to Denny's and get you...
