<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Doukhobor Prayer Home (1917)<br> Museums in Saskatchewan picture - a landmark in the area, served as Prayer Home and residence for the two Doukhobor leaders, Peter V. Verigin and his son Peter P. Verigin. It was declared a heritage site in 1982. Built in 1917, it is reminiscent of Russian architectural styles. This ornate structure replaced the original structure which was built in 1908 and burned in 1916. The main floor served as a place for communal gatherings such as weddings, funerals, &#38; spiritual meetings. (Doukhobors have no priests or hierarchy. They don&#39;t have churches, just prayer homes and who delivers the message is not important.) The upper level was the private residence of the Verigins. </div></nolayer></noembed>
