Our first real outdoors excursion was hiking Devil's Peak, a 1000 meter high mountain with the University of Cape Town right on its base. We then arrived at Rhodes Memorial and started the hiking for real, spending a total of seven hours on the mountain that day. It was windy and with radical temperature changes, but still lots of fun for the whole group.
