My husband, Herb Tippins and I lived in bad Kreuznach from December 1952 until November 1953 (with a 3-month stint in Eberstadt/Darmstadt). he was with the 31st MASH, stationed at the American Hospital in Bad kreuznach. We have been back many times. There have been changes but there are still some places exactly as they were back in the 1950s. We knew some soldiers in 2nd Evac, as they were also at the hospital then.

I was stationed at the 56th General Hospital in 1972-1973. I worked on the maternity ward working with new born babies, I never thought I would work there, Ha! I lived in Hackenheim, just south of BK. I enjoyed my tour of duty there while in the U.S. Army. Randy, Mobile, Ala.

I was stationed in BK from '51-54 with the 2nd AD Band. Married a young lady from there and went back to Ktown in '65-68. Have visited BK several times since (for the closing of US Military) and last time in Nov 2009. It's almost like home to me. alex

Searching for Ron and Linda Franklin
I was stationed at Bad Kreuznach 1971-1973 with my ex-husband Arch McCleskey. Our son was born at 56th General Hospital. I am looking for Ron and Linda Franklin, both were physical therapists-Ron at 56th General and Linda at Landstuhl when they married. I know they came home and left believe they left the military. Can anyone help me find them? My email address is <firstname.lastname@example.org>. Thanks. Judy Hawkins McCleskey Woodyard

My husband was stationed in BK during 1961-62 part of the 2nd evacuation hospital and I was lucky enough to live there with him at that time and it was a wonderful experience. I took care of a number of children of the officers while there while they went away for R & R. We did some traveling also. Anyone stationed there during that time feel free to contact us via e-mail. email@example.com

I was stationed in Bad Kreuznach from 1993-1995. I should have never left. BK is the greatest assignment I have ever had. The friends I had while there were the best I've ever had. The love of my life was from near by Frei-Laubersheim. My first year was spent drinking, (I was a 19 yr old kid in germany give me a break). My second year I fell in love with Sabine and she straightened me out. I then began to experience the culture. I went to all types of fests. The one thing I remember is when they had a bbq at her house and they cooked in the ground. That was great. I love germany and I love german people. They should have never closed BK. I hope to get back there someday.

In Dec. 1973, I was at the: US 56th General Hosp., in Bad Kreuznach. My son was born there. I am a US Citizen; that was in the USA Army, stationed in Baumholder back then. But Bad Kreuznach is a very nice town. I couldn't believe how big the train station was. WOW! That is the 1st train I have ever rode in my life. It sure moved very..........quickly!!!! I enjoyed my tour of duty over there though.
