Day trip # 2
Look very closely at the first few crater photos to get a perspective of size. They are approx. a mile across and 400 yds. deep. This is a crusted area that covers the top of the molten lava. The active flow is underneath and comes to the surface some 5 miles away and then flows into the ocean. This is the largest and most active volcano in the world.
