This second part of Penang National Park will take you to Kerachut Beach. This beach is famous for the meromictic lake. The lake has two layers of water warm saline at the top and cool fresh water at the bottom. The sea water rushes into the lake to occupy the top layer while the fresh mountain streams flow to the bottom. The lake is seasonal.
