Greenwich picture - Garfield B. landed this twenty five pound Striped Bass on light tackel at the end of Steamboat Road where the cement jetty extends out from the roads end. ! Garfield is originalyl from the island of Jamaica. This fish is a true trophy! September + October are the most productive times of year for large, and numerous fish. They enter the channel near the jetty. Traveling from NYC is an easy 45 minute commute to visit the jetty. When getting off of the train by the taxi station go left to bottom of hill make a right to arrive at the ocean sound jetty, about a 1/2 mile walk. Durring the walk two blocks down on the left is the best restaurant in Greenwich. Manero's restaurant is famous for its steaks. You can order take out steak sandwichs fro much less money at the bar or the Meat House, and then enjoy a picnic at the jetty. The best Martinis are concocted at this bar making for a more relaxing walk!
