Close your eyes and picture this: the music of the Boston Pops with the picnic supper conviviality of the Hollywood Bowl ! Sounds pretty good, doesn't it?

Well, one Sunday each month during the summer, a wonderful experience takes place in the famous courtyard of Mission San Juan Capistrano. As the sun descends, hundreds of Orange County citizens flock to the Mission for another outstanding concert by the Capistrano Valley Symphony.

This professional group of Southland musicians has been playing with the Symphony for many years.

We can't demonstrate the wonderful music for you here, but we can try to give you a pictorial sense of what so many of us look forward to, five times every summer.

This season is our 24th and there are just two concerts left in the 2009 schedule: Saturday August 29 and Sunday September 20.

So bring your spouse or best friend. Better yet, get a group together and enrich the end of your summer with a Sunday picnic and concert at beautiful Mission San Juan Capistrano. We know that if we get you to come out just once , you'll be back again and again !

Ticket prices range from only $20 per person for a chair on the lawn , to $75 per seat at a table up front. The acoustics are great anywhere in the courtyard.
