Blankenberge
Blankenberge, my place of birth, is located at the Belgian coast. It used to be a charming fisher town and a luxury seaside resort but the last decades it evolved into a touristic nightmare attracting tourists of the worst kind, bathing in a smell of hot dogs and baked oignons. Nevertheless, here and there some of its original beauty can still be observed, in particular related to the presence of the North Sea.
