Gosudarstvennyy Universalnyy Magazin, generally known as GUM, is a giant shopping center running along one side of Moscow's Red Square. Housed in three elegant 19th Century arcades, GUM offers Muscovites and visitors an array of kiosks, shops, cafes, and restaurants. These Russian dolls were on sale for 280 rubles -- about nine dollars.
