Khao Pu - Khao Ya National Park became the 42th National Park since 1985. The total area is about 694 sq km, covering Nakorn Si Thammarat, Pattalung and Trang provinces. The park is part of Bantad mountain range with moist evergreen forest. There are two seasons; rainy and hot season. The weather in the National Park is cool about 22 deg celcius from June to August. There are rich flora with different levels of canopy. The wildlife in the National Park are tapir, serow, barking deer, munjack and many different birds. Other attraction includes Ruen Tap Nimit Cave, Khao Carm Waterfall, Wang Nai Pud Cave, Riang Tong Waterfall and Nan Plew waterfall.
