Only 850,000 souls and almost as many tourists populate the country. Nearly half the locals are of Indian descent having been brought there as imported labour by the British to work on the sugar cane farms 125 years ago. They adhere strictly to the traditions of their motherland though few have ever been there in the last two or three generations. In dress and language they look like something out of a Bollywood movie.
