The third highlight of my trip to Turkey was the opportunity to visit the superb marble remains of Ephesus, one of the four major biblical cities of the known world during the time of Paul the Apostle. Above the ground are well preserved marble remains, yet under these streets were elaborate sewerage and water systems. To walk these same marble streets was spiritually amazing for me, and nearby there was another very moving, emotional surprise awaiting.
