Landing in Buenos Aires on Sunday, August 14 and leaving Monday, August 22, I tried to take in as much as the city had to offer in the short time I had. The food was amazing, the music was amazing, the buildings were amazing, the art (which was everywhere) was amazing, the people were amazing, and the city was just amazing in general. It was the end of winter, so pretty cold, which was wonderful as well (considering the day I left Fredericksburg for Donna and Sean's place in Gaithersburg, it was 110 degrees). I didn't remember much Spanish from freshman and sophomore year of high-school, so I was left saying "Lo siento, no hablo Español mucho" a lot, but even that led to some interesting experiences. Looking at these pictures, it's pretty easy to get a clear idea what my interests are (the protest, percussion festival, and soccer game get a lot of attention), and I suppose those pictures could have been used to show a broader portrait of the city, but really no amount of pictures could capture my experience in Buenos Aires and my interactions with the city and the people in it. (Thanks to Matt for the use of his scanner)
