I am a psychology graduate at Goldsmiths College (University of London) and have been working with autistic children for nearly a year. I looking into helping the awareness of autism and working with children in the special schools in india, pakistan or sri lanka. Could anyone suggest any institutes that require workers? Govt. servant and NGO worker
It is excellent to see that the government is taking such an active interest in raising awareness about Autism. We are a small ngo in Pakistan and have organised 8 seminars on Autism awareness in different cities of Pakistan in the last 2 years. Now we are organising the first regional conference on Autism Awareness in Lahore on 16th and 17th December 2005, and are inviting speakers and participant from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Nepal. We would be grateful if you could please send us names of some resource persons in Sri Lanka whom we can invite. Also the address of the the school in Colombo which is running an Autism programme.
